There aren't many good places to watch from with general admission, and you'd need to be there very very early to get a decent spot. Throughout the practice sessions and even sometimes during the race, you often see drivers running wide out of Luffield and bumping across the turf on the outside of the corner. For safety reasons there is no luggage storage at Silverstone, at the F1 or any other events for general admission ticket holders.
